Dorota + Fred | Montreal, QC

When Dorota and Fred first described the wedding they were planning, they mentioned that they wanted it to be inspired by the 1920s. Many couples incorporate nods to different time periods into their wedding decor, so while we knew their venue (the Lion D’Or cabaret club) would be a good setting for this theme, we didn’t think too much of it until their wedding day… Oh how we underestimated them!

Walking into the Lion d’Or on the wedding day was truly like taking a step back in time. From the feather centerpieces (Azar of Principal Planner once again knocked our socks off with the decor) to the swing band that kept the guests on their feet all night, no detail was overlooked.

The cabaret club was the perfect old fashioned host (we even saw an old “menu” back stage, from the venue’s former life as a brothel) and it is safe to say that this themed affair did it justice.

Dorota and Fred, we just love how you took your passion for old cinema and made it come to life for your special day. It was – and you were – an absolute blast for us to capture.
