As you probably know by now, I grew up in the Townships and I’m darn proud of it! While in high school, I spent many summers “working” (but mostly playing) in the small but lovely town of North Hatley. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that I was going to be shooting Emily and Fred’s wedding at the town’s well-known Hovey Manor. It was so special to be shooting there and Emily and Fred’s lovely wedding made it all the more wonderful.
In the blog post that followed their engagement session last April, I mentioned how trusting they were and this was certainly true on their big day as well, only this time, instead of a butcher shop, it was their suite’s gorgeous bathtub! When we saw it that morning, we knew we had to take them there for portraits at the end of the night. That is one advantage to having everyone, including your photographers, staying at the same place overnight! As was the case for this wedding, another was that guests made good use of the open bar – and the fact that they didn’t have to drive home! Needless to say, it was a great time for everyone.
See our favorites, and their slideshow, below (oh, and before everyone starts sending us emails asking about the song… it’s “1, 2, 3, 4,” Plain White Tees’ newest single. I love it!)
