We took advantage of being in New York to do Jael and Patrick’s engagement session, who are getting married next September, also in the Big Apple. We started in Bryant Park and made our way to Time Square.
Jael is one of the happiest people I’ve ever met. Daniel and I are always so excited to read her emails, as they are always hilarious; consisting of dozens of exclamation marks and capital letters! The best part is, we can actually hear her voice when we read them. She’s the only person I know who manages to be loud in an email!
It was a real pleasure to shoot Jael and Patrick, partly because we just adore her so much, but also because they are such a sweet couple! They made each other laugh for most of the shoot and it was contagious. Daniel and I giggled along, in spite of ourselves! It was just a blast – and Time Square was a pretty fabulous setting, might I add!

That’s the thing about this city, New Yorkers will not stop for you when you’re taking a picture – which is perfect when you’re going for that fly-on-the-wall feel!
